Good afternoon Governor,ladies and gentlemen,boys and girls. my purpose of this speech today is to raise an awareness of the hardships the farmers are experiencing due to reforestation project by the officials.
Due to the reforestation project, many farmers' land had been reclaimed, as a result, many farmers' cannot cultivate crops for a living and hence have no income. although through this project, more tourist will visit Zhangjiejie, increasing the tourist income, but this will not solve the farmers' problem. to make matter worse, because all the ancestors of the farmers' only farms for a living, they too only know how to farm, hence they are unable to find new jobs in the cities.
i am suggesting that the officials should return some of the land to the farmers so that they are still able to continue farming and able to support their families. although this suggestion can only help the farmers fr the time being, but i hope that the officials in charge will take actions. thank you all for your time and attention.
